Why has someone labeled him Japanese? He is Canadian with Scottish/Japanese heritage.

FYI...It is more proper to call him a Japanese-Canadian. His last name is Japanese. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.212.191.139 (talk) 19:14, 9 November 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Per WP:HOCKEY's decision to remove the nickname field from the infobox, it is being moved here for use later. "| nickname = Mighty Mouse[1]" -Djsasso (talk) 21:52, 29 July 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]
the conversation (what there was of it) is no longer even on this page. You can go back though the history of the talk page and see what was removed and why. since this is not an ongoing concern, can we get the banner removed? Childhoodtrauma (talk) 19:25, 18 February 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Removed uncited material from article and placed here if anyone can find a reference for them:
At a team rally following the Ducks' game seven loss to the Devils, Kariya promised to bring the Cup to Anaheim in 2004. A verbal agreement with then-GM Bryan Murray was broken by Kariya after his $10 million-per-year contract was not qualified. Murray intended to re-sign Kariya at a lower amount (believed to be in the $6–7 million range, to which Kariya had verbally agreed) and use the extra money to find the final piece to the Cup puzzle via free agency.
The infobox picture does not include the source, just states that it was transferred
It was an own work uploaded by user:Jaime4Jesus directly to the en:WP and transferred to commons by another user. I added in a note stating it specifically. --Mo Rock...Monstrous(leech44) 17:49, 24 November 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Overall:
Pass/Fail:
" (behind Mario Lemieux's $11 million salary in 1996–97)." - is not supported by the reference. There may be more statements in brackets that are not referenced.
"short handed goals (16) and shots (2,455). His seven seasons as team captain also set a Ducks record. After Selänne returned to the Ducks in 2005, Kariya's marks in games played, goals, assists and points were all broken." - needs a citation--Tomcat(7) 20:47, 7 December 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]
can we not find a picture that's in focus? or is this supposed to be artistic? (it's not. it's just annoyingly out of focus.)Toyokuni3 (talk) 00:05, 27 December 2017 (UTC)Reply[reply]
